Corporate Program: Employer-Paid, Business-Focused Support

Alberta Tru Care is structured as an employer-directed support program, contracted and paid for directly by the organization. This approach is designed to function as a business service—supporting absence management, documentation coordination, and return-to-work planning—rather than an employee cash benefit or reimbursement model.

“Is this a taxable benefit for employees / will this cause T4 headaches?”
Tax & Compliance Note (Canada):
The corporation contracts directly with Alberta Tru Care for coordination and case support services. The program is not structured as an employee payment or reimbursement strategy. Hence addressing and steering clear of the the “ taxable benefit for employees and the T4 headache ” issue. Programs are designed to support organizational outcomes including reduced lost-time, improved documentation, and streamlined case progression.

First Steps
A safe place to start your organization might be to begin with a small, low-risk pilot to evaluate fit, process, and outcomes. Pilot support is typically in the low four-figure range per month, depending on scope and reporting requirements. For many employers, the monthly cost of advocacy support is often less than the cost of a single lost-time day - especially when WCB delays and administrative burden are reduced.
What Employers Gain

*Reduced HR / HSE administrative time spent chasing updates, paperwork, and appointments
•Faster coordination of diagnostics, referrals, and treatment timelines
•Improved case continuity, provider communication, and documentation quality
•Support for WCB / disability processes to reduce delays and lost-time days
•Clear reporting and structured follow-up to support internal decision-making
One client. One case. One successful outcome — then we scale only when it makes sense.
